Introducing Fitz, a brand focusing on new generations!
US eyewear maker using top innovative technologies such as 3D printing through their app to manufacture your next personalized pair of glasses, Fitz is a new player in the market, which according to us, has a great future ahead of them. Their strategy is to focus on answering this need for kids to feel comfortable wearing their glasses. Kids can now grow with their favorite frames.
How does it work to be fitz’d?
The glasses are designed through the app, by yourself or your kid to be precise… Each frame is designed for each kid’s unique and awesome face, from the width of their nose to the angles of their ears.
Fitz takes thousands of measurements for a fit for them and no one else.
If you aren’t 100% happy with your order they will refund you.
Know-how & Made in
Fitz frames are proudly designed and manufactured in the USA. Each pair are built within their factory in Youngstown, Ohio. Fitz does not waste material during manufacturing and does not ship out glasses with plastic wrap and unnecessary materials. Rather, the glasses are printed with material that makes frames flexible, durable, and much lighter than standard plastic and acetate ones.
Recent Launch due to Covid-19
Fitz is now offering a new line of protective eyewear (RX or non-RX) for frontline medical workers. Fitz protect is available both as prescription and non-prescription glasses. The glasses are custom-fitted to individual face dimensions to provide more facial coverage and droplet protection than traditional glasses.
For medical staff
Those glasses, designed for doctors & nurses were developed by Katie Brandeau, Fitz Frames head of product, and Nate Sawyer, head of 3D rigging. The frames are designed to be easy to sterilize and provide the required additional facial coverage around the eyebrows, cheeks and lack the gapping found usually in traditional eyewear.
Company founder Heidi Hertel stresses that “Our in-app technology measures over 1,000 points on each face for a perfect fit and all-day comfort. Protective eyewear works best when they fit the user snuggly. Health care workers are currently serving shifts as long as 12-14 hours; it is imperative for them to have protective eyewear that is both functional and comfortable.”
Affordable prices
The protective eyewear can be ordered anytime from anywhere in the U.S. Medical personnel can order glasses through a “virtual try-on” smartphone app. The cost is $100 per pair and Fitz aims to deliver those within 10 days. If you are working in a COVID+ environment, you can get a free pair. The company is currently taking the right steps to make the glasses-free to doctors and nurses at various hospitals around the US.
